She is none too happy with the way the GOP elite have gone after Gingrich. She offers a rousing defense in this Facebook post.  But here is the key paragraph:

But this whole thing isn’t really about Newt Gingrich vs. Mitt Romney. It is about the GOP establishment vs. the Tea Party grassroots and independent Americans who are sick of the politics of personal destruction used now by both parties’ operatives with a complicit media egging it on. In fact, the establishment has been just as dismissive of Ron Paul and Rick Santorum. Newt is an imperfect vessel for Tea Party support, but in South Carolina the Tea Party chose to get behind him instead of the old guard’s choice. In response, the GOP establishment voices denounced South Carolinian voters with the same vitriol we usually see from the left when they spew hatred at everyday Americans “bitterly clinging” to their faith and their Second Amendment rights. The Tea Party was once again told to sit down and shut up and listen to the “wisdom” of their betters. We were reminded of the litany of Tea Party endorsed candidates in 2010 who didn’t win. Well, here’s a little newsflash to the establishment: without the Tea Party there would have been no historic 2010 victory at all.

The GOP establishment has barely a clue about how much the Tea Party movement loathes it. But they will rue the day when  Sarah Palin rides against them, no matter how imperfect her stead.

SOTU speech reaction by the GOP : Mitch Daniels was right not to run. He’s as wooden as Mitch.

From Fox News:

The Secret Service was responding Tuesday night to an escalating protest that may have involved one or more smoke bombs being thrown over the White House fence.

An estimated 1,000 protesters have gathered. No arrests have been made, but authorities are on alert.

Organizers had touted the rally, known as Occupy Congress, as the largest national gathering of Occupy protesters to date and secured a permit that would have allowed up to 10,000 people to participate. By mid-afternoon, the protest appeared to have fallen far short of those goals.

On 9/12/2009, more than a million Tea Party supporters peacefully protested on the mall. They got virtually no media coverage, and every media outlet downplayed the numbers, including Fox News. One thousand OWS protesters show up at their biggest demo yet, and they attack the White House with smoke bombs?  They are going to get media coverage but it won’t be favorable. They are the creation of the hard-left. The President is one of them, based on his history and track-record. I don’t get it. I don’t think they get it, either. That’s when you jump the shark.

But I do know the Tea Party movement gets it. No more demos; lots more grass roots organizing. We ain’t jumping no shark!

We have Mitt Romneycare, Rick Earmarks, Newt Crazysmart, Ron NukeIsrael, or Rick Stumblemouth. Most of them beat Obomination, but not by much. We are in a heap of trouble.

Mute the TV until the guest opens their mouth. Mute when she opens hers. Ditto for O’Reilly.
