The American Thinker links to a piece by Rachel Neuwirth discussing intelligence issues on Iran’s nuclear program. She starts:

The big question concerning Iran is just how close they are to having a nuclear weapon. Some officials assure us that it will require 5-10 years before they produce a bomb.

Those officials belong to the Clinton “kick the can down the road” school of diplomacy. It doesn’t matter when the Iranians get the bomb. It only matters that they have an active program to get the bomb and have already announced their willingness to use it to complete Hitler’s work. See, it’s like abortion (apologies to those who oppose abortion under any circumstances). The sooner you do it the better. The reality is that the sooner we abort the Iranian nuclear program, the better. If it comes to term, we’ll have allowed a monster to be born. As Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth said:

If it were done when ’tis done, then ’twere well
It were done quickly

Or, to quote a modern advertising slogan:

Just Do It

Like, N*ke the Mad Mullahs.
